Woman arrested for using drugs in front of children

LEWISBURG, W. Va. (WVNS)- A Greenbrier County woman has been arrested on child neglect charges after authorities said she bought and used drugs in front of children in the home. 


A Greenbrier County sheriff's deputy was called to Cabin View Lane in Lewisburg after family members said Tara Jackson cut her wrist and left the house. According to court documents Jackson was found at another apartment where she made threats about suicide. She was treated at a local hospital and authorities called Child Protective Services.


Children in the home told officials at the Child Youth Advocacy Center they saw Jackson buy and use marijuana and crack cocaine several times. 


Jackson is charged with child neglect. According to Greenbrier County Magistrate Court she has not been arraigned at this time.
