Summers County leads business growth in West Virginia

CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) - A total of 10 new businesses opened in Summers County during the month of October 2018.  According to the West Virginia Secretary of State's office, that is enough to lead the state at 2.36 percent growth.  Other counties also showing growth were Upshur, Barbour, Wetzel and Calhoun. 

West Virginia saw 10.65 percent growth statewide in business registrations in the past year.  In that time Summers County showed 17.75 percent growth.
