Beckley Performing Arts raising money for WWHS Theatre Department

News

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — The Beckley Performing Arts group, along with the Woodrow Wilson High School Theatre Department, are preparing for a show this weekend. Dancers from schools in Lewisburg, Princeton, Bluefield, and Beckley will all showcase their talent Saturday, Oct. 26 at WWHS. Also dancing will be two winning couples from United Way’s 2019 Dancing With the Stars.

Producer Pat Almond said they are trying to support all the local performing arts groups.

“What we are trying to do is just support the arts all the way around in this area,” Almond said. “And if we are going to have arts, we are all going to have to support it.”

The show is Saturday Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $12 and all the money raised will go to the Woodrow Wilson High School Theatre Performing Department.
