Authorities recovered a woman’s body in the Potomac River on Sunday in the Washington County area, and are still looking for another possible victim.

Officials from Maryland Natural Resources Police said they received a call for an overturned boat around 10:15 a.m. on Sunday.

The boat was found approximately three to four miles from Dam 4 on the Potomac River, according to Captain Brian Albert, and the woman was found dead at the scene.

Officials are not releasing the identity of the woman until next of kin have been notified, but they believe her age to be around 55 years old.

Capt. Albert said they are still searching for a man, around the same age as the female victim.

More information, such as the cause of death, is expected to be released Monday after an autopsy is complete.
