Charleston police arrest four during warrant sweep targeting transients

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – Four people were arrested during a warrant sweep by the Charleston Police Department that began this morning.

It started around 10:30 A.M.

According to police, multiple outstanding warrants were served ranging from misdemeanor to felony charges. 

Three suspects were arrested and face misdemeanor charges.

One suspect was arraigned at Kanawha County Magistrate Court on a felony charge.

Officials with Charleston Police Department say the warrant sweep is a part of an effort targeting transient criminals in the area.
