MOUNT HOPE, WV (WVNS) — A chase in Mount Hope landed a North Carolina man in jail on drug charges.
Fayette County Deputies said it started when they tried to pull over a car for a traffic violation, but the driver refused to stop. The driver eventually had to stop because of a tire blowout.
Deputies said inside the car they found marijuana, a heroin/fentanyl mixture, prescription pills, a stolen gun and more than $1,000 in cash.
24-year-old Stephen Nicholas of Charlotte, North Carolina was arrested and charged with four counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver Narcotics, Fleeing an Officer and Receiving/Transferring Stolen Property.
His bond is set at $100,000.
