Fayette County man connected to Operation Mountaineer Highway sentenced to federal prison


A man charged in connection with Operation Moutaineer Highway in Fayette County was sentenced to federal prison.

Gary Harvey, 48, of Fayetteville, was sentenced to 70 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute oxycodone. 

Harvey previously admitted he was working with other members of a drug trafficking organization operating in Fayette County to distribute oxycodone pills. He admitted to distributing approximately 550 30mg oxycodone tablets to other members of the drug trafficking organization. 

Operation Moutaineer Highway was a large-scale takedown of a drug trafficking organization in September 2018, which spanned multiple states.
