According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, at 2:34 AM on Thursday, November 17, deputies responded to ‘Sauced N Loaded’ at the Mercer Mall for a call of a man laying in the parking lot unresponsive.

Captain Jesse Ruble with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department said they are treating this as a homicide investigation.

“We’ve spoken to several witnesses on scene..not a whole lot of cooperation from them so we’re just having to basically work from the beginning and try to find out what we can discover through the investigation,” Captain Ruble said.

Captain Ruble said it’s important to investigate incidents like this thoroughly to avoid missing key information.

“We investigate to the fullest extent we’re pulling video and talking to witnesses and other things that we do through the investigation but we treat them all with the same respect,” Captain Ruble said.
