New phone scam could raise next phone bill

A new phone scam is causing headaches across West Virginia and could cost people a lot money on their next phone bills.

According to a Facebook Post by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, people in the area are receiving calls from a Lithuanian number. Deputies are warning people not to answer the call because it could result in an expensive phone bill.

Deputies are advising people to block the number to avoid more calls.
