Two Maryland men arrested on felony theft allegations in Fayette County

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested two men from Maryland on felony theft charges.

According to the sheriff’s department, deputies responded to a possible stolen bicycle complaint at a bike shop in Fayetteville. The shop owner told deputies that two males came into the store trying to sell two high-end bicycles. The owner reportedly recognized the two bikes as those belonging to a known customer.

The alleged owner of the bicycles confirmed that his bikes were missing. The value of the bikes was estimated to be about $3,200.

The two males, Chris Washington and Darnell Fraser, both from Maryland, were arrested for the felony offenses of Receiving and Transferring Stolen Goods, and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. They were both transported to the Southern Regional Jail on a $25,000 bond.
