PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) — Drugs and a gun found during a traffic stop lead to two arrests in Princeton.

Princeton Police said they pulled over a car for defective equipment on White Oak Drive on September 4, 2019.

Police said the driver Robert Dove and passenger Johnny Thomas were acting suspicious so they searched the vehicle. Inside, officers found meth, a semi-automatic gun and numerous rounds of ammunition. Police said Dove is a convicted felon.

Officers arrested Dove and Thomas for possession of a controlled substance. Dove is also charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
