FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) — The Halloween ghosts hanging on Lori Settle’s porch in Fayetteville are nothing compared to the real spirits she claims she encountered years ago.

Settle said she lived in a haunted house from 1990 to 2013. She claimed what started as noises and shadows, escalated into full apparitions and sometimes violent encounters that left her with scratches.

“When I came back into the kitchen it wasn’t 20, 30 seconds when every cabinet, every door were open. Every one. I thought, okay, it was quite unnerving and when I turned around to leave the house again, I was leaving, that’s when I saw her. A little girl,” said Settle.

Settle moved to a different house and now works as a paranormal investigator.
