UPDATE: Everyone in Fayetteville house fire safely evacuated

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) — 6/7/2021 11:33 a.m. UPDATE: First responders at the scene confirmed the structure fire was a home on Court Street. Extensive damage was reported in the interior of the the home, with some on the exterior.

Everyone inside the home made it out okay.

The scene is cleared, but the exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.


FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) — 6/7/2021 8:41 a.m. ORIGINAL STORY: A structure fire in Fayetteville temporarily shut down one of the town’s busiest streets.

Fayette County dispatchers said the call came in at 8:12 a.m for a structure fire on Court Street. They confirmed the street is completely shut down at this time.
