WHITE SULFUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) — The 83rd Business Summit took place this week at the Greenbrier Hotel. It is hosted every year by the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
This year, business leaders focused on the future of the state. Members discussed various topics from energy and education, to the opioid crisis.
West Virginia Chamber of Commerce President, Steve Roberts, told 59News there is a renewed enthusiasm as West Virginia’s economy continues to improve.
“We’ve got a lot of people here who are very dedicated to the topic of working together as West Virginians for more jobs, more opportunity, and more progress so that we can make sure that everybody’s got an opportunity here in West Virginia,” Roberts said.
The conference ran from Wednesday through Friday, with speeches from guests like Governor Jim Justice and U.S. Senator Joe Manchin.
