Students at Bluefield College hosted a stress free ‘paw-ty’ Monday, April 29.
The event gave students a few hours of stress relief from their exams by playing with cats and dogs out on the campus quad.
Emily Carlisle was one of the students who helped organize the event as a part of one of her Public Relations courses. She said she enjoyed the planning process because this opportunity benefited everyone involved.
“We decided to raise money for a local nonprofit and we chose the animal shelter, so we brought these cute little guys on campus” Carlisle said.
In addition to giving students quality time with the pets and raising money for the shelter, six of the dogs and two of the cats were adopted by the end of the day.
