Mobile home blown off foundation due to strong winds

BLUEFIELD, Va. (WVNS) – A mobile home was blown off its foundation Monday morning due to strong winds. 

Dispatchers tell 59 News the home was located on Gulf Street in Bluefield, Virginia. It happened around 5:40 Monday morning. Officials said people were inside the home at the time but no injuries were reported. 

Bluefield Virginia Fire Department responded to the scene. 

59 Meteorologist Mike Slifer said wind gusts are expected to approach 50 miles per hour and wind advisories are in effect in Southwest Virginia and Southern West Virginia.
