UPDATE: Reward offered for missing Tazewell County man

Tazewell County deputies are still searching for Arthur Muncy.

Muncy’s family is now offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to his whereabouts.

Call the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office with any information at (276) 988-0645.

Officials are looking for help from the community to find a man who has been missing for nearly a week. Arthur Muncy, 47, also known as “Achie” disappeared on Feb. 21, 2019.

Mr. Muncy was last seen on Stony Ridge.  That is near north Tazewell, Virginia.  According to the Aware Foundation, the family believes the disappearance is suspicious.  Deputies with the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office said they have an active investigation.

Muncy is a white man who stands 6-feet 2-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.  He has brown hair and green eyes.  He has a Tasmanian Devil tattoo on his upper arm and barbed wire tattoos around his biceps. 

Anyone with information on Muncy’s location is asked to contact the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office at 276-988-0645.
