Longtime Raleigh County Fire Chief passes away


BRADLEY, WV (WVNS) — A longtime Fire Chief for the Bradley-Prosperity Volunteer Fire Department passed away yesterday.

Bruce James served as Fire Chief for more than 40 years. He was the longest serving Fire Chief since the department opened its doors more than 40 years ago.

Former Chief Bobby Palmer escorted James from Bowers Hospice House to Blue Ridge Funeral Home Sept. 19, 2021.
