Monroe County fire crews responding to smoke call at Springfield Nursing Home

LINDSIDE, WV (WVNS) — Firefighters in Monroe County are responding to a call of smoke at a local nursing home.

Dispatchers confirmed the call came from Springfield Nursing Home in Lindside at around 3:13 p.m. Sunday. Crews from Peterstown and Lindside Volunteer Fire departments were summoned as a precautionary measure.

No fires, injuries or road closures were reported. The cause of the smoke is unknown.
