MEIGS COUNTY, OH (WOWK) – The Meigs County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three suspects after a woman was found bleeding and beaten with severe fractures.

According to a release, police were alerted of a woman that showed up at a residence in serious condition near the Curtis Hollow Road area.

After being treated, medics determined that the woman sustained severe fractures after falling from a nearby cliff in the Forked Run Lake area.

The woman told deputies that three people had assaulted her over alleged missing money that the victim was accused of taking.

The suspects identified as Marissa Starcher, age 34, of Pomeroy, Brooke Watson, age 29 and Nathan Grimm, age 31 of Ross Road, Portland, reportedly struck the victim with a base ball bat several times.

Watson and Starcher are also accused of pulling the victim’s hair out of her scalp and striking her with a broom handle.

The victim also told police that she was sexually assaulted during the incident.

She went on to tell police that she was blindfolded and placed into a car before being dragged from the car and shoved over a cliff near Forked Run Lake.

Deputies were able to arrest Watson and Starcher during a traffic stop after locating a vehicle that matched a description.

They were able to locate Grimm at a residence near Ross Road.

All suspects were taking into custody on charges of kidnapping, rape, and attempted murder.
