Elected officials in Washington have been in talks for quite a while about how — or if — a wall on the southern border will be funded. For some supporters of President Trump, they have made up their minds.

A GoFundMe page, called “We The People Will Fund The Wall,” has gone viral since it was posted Monday with the intention of crowdfunding the border wall. In just three days, it has raised over $3.7 million.

“President Trump’s main campaign promise was to BUILD THE WALL,” writes Brian Kolfager, the page’s organizer. “And as he’s followed through on just about every promise so far, this wall project needs to be completed still.”

Kolfage, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a triple amputee, went to great lengths to prove his credibility and insisted that all donations will go to the “Trump Wall.”

More than 85,000 people have donated to the GoFundMe since it was set up on Dec. 16, 2018, with donations range from as low as $5 to as high as $10,015.

Currently, the goal sits at $1 billion, which is the site’s limit for goals. Kolfage says that he is working with GoFundMe to raise that to $5 billion, which is the total projected cost of the border wall. He also claims that if the goal is not met, or if they don’t “come significantly close,” they will refund every single penny.
