One person is injured after being pinned by a log from a log truck.

According to the Birch River Volunteer Fire Department, at approximately 3 p.m. a flagman was waving traffic for road work on Widen-Dille Road in Nicholas County.

A log truck approached the road work area, hauling logs.

As the log truck passed, the load became disconnected, resulting in logs spilling from the truck.

One of the logs rolling off the truck pinned the flagman.

The flagman was sent to the hospital with unknown injuries at this time.

The scene has since been cleared.

The Birch River Volunteer Fire Department, Summersville Volunteer Fire Department, and Jan-Care Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
