Panthers’ Ellis earns Player of the Week honors

PRINCETON, WV (WVNS) – The PikeView Panthers improved to (1-7) on the season in Week 8 following a win over the River View Raiders (3-6).

The Panthers jumped all over the Raiders early in the game thanks in large part to an outstanding performance by Freshman Quarterback Cameron Ellis.

Ellis got in done in all facets of the game on Friday. He was responsible for 6 of the team’s total touchdowns. He rushed for over 150 yards and two TDs. He also caught 10 passes as a receiver and scored two more TDs. Finally he threw the ball for 58 yards and two more scores en route to PikeView’s 49-34 win.

Ellis and the Panthers will make the trip to New Richmond, WV on Friday for their Week 9 matchup with the Wyoming East Warriors (5-2). That game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in the War Zone.
