Kanawha County crews rushed to the scene of a non-responsive woman laying in the street.

Deputies with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office responded just before 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 on Morris Drive in Montgomery.

Sergeant Sean Snuffer with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was in a house when she overdosed. An unnamed man dragged her body outside and flagged down a car for help.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman has been identified, but deputies are not releasing her name at this time.
