Public greets President Trump at airport


LEWISBURG, W. Va. (WVNS) — President Trump has officially visited West Virginia four times.

Thursday, April 5th, 2018, President Trump was greeted by Governor Jim Justice and Senator Shelley Moore-Capito upon exiting Air Force One.

A crowd of people also gathered hoping to catch a quick glimpse of the president.

For some, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the president in person. Terry Koon, was one of those people who anxiously awaited President Trump’s arrival.

“We support him and we look forward to what he’s going to do for the American people, we appreciate everything he’s done,” said Koon. 

Cole Snyder was lucky enough to shake the president’s hand during his last visit to Greenbrier County. He said he’s very fortunate to have another opportunity to see our nation’s leader in person.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to see President Trump come through our area. It’s a wonderful opportunity and an honor for someone so important to want to visit West Virginia,” said Snyder.

Many people who were waiting at the airport tell 59 News, they believe the president will do good for West Virginians, and are very glad he came back for another visit.
