HINTON, WV (WVNS) — The 53rd Railroad Days is quickly approaching!
From Friday, Oct. 25 to Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019, people can visit Hinton and celebrate the history of the Chesapeake and Ohio Railways.
Railroad Days Volunteer, Pat Hanifin, said the weekend will be full of food vendors, model train vendors, music, and storytelling.
“Hinton’s heritage is as a rail town. It wouldn’t be here without the C&O railroad,” Hanifin said. “But as much as anything else, to introduce people to our town who might not otherwise come here as a tourist destination.”
Festivities start at 9 a.m. each day and end at 4 p.m. Visitors will even get an exclusive chance to see privately owned vintage rail cars.
