An annual report is showing a grim reminder of student debt for those affected in the Mountain State.
As of August 2, 2018, the personal finance website WalletHub released their yearly list of states with the best and worst cases for student debt. West Virginia was ranked 2nd-worst by the website, which used average student debt, unemployment among 25 to 34-year-old’s, percentage of loan balances past due, and other metrics.
Utah was ranked best, followed by Hawaii and Wyoming.
