State Police conducting DUI checkpoint along Rt. 19 Friday

BEAVER, WV (WVNS) — West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday, August 23.

The checkpoint will be along Route 19 near the intersection of Airport Road in Raleigh County. The checkpoint will be from 6:00p.m. until 12:00a.m.

The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter impaired driving and educate drivers on the consequences of drinking and driving. The public is urged to assist law enforcement in reporting impaired drivers to West Virginia State Police or Crime Stoppers of West Virginia.
