Structure fire in Montcalm, Mercer County self-extinguished by busted water line

MONTCALM, WV (WVNS) — Volunteer firefighters in Mercer County ironically had some help from utility problems on a call.

On Sunday afternoon, crews from Montcalm, Bluewell and Green Valley-Glenwood Volunteer Fire departments responded to a structure fire on Tabor Road in Montcalm.

Upon arrival, the Montcalm Volunteer Fire Department stated the fire was actually self-extinguished by a busted water line, according to its Facebook page.

The scene has since been cleared.
