VIRGINIA, WV (WVNS) — Tax relief checks are being mailed out in Virginia, according to Delegate Todd Pillion.
During the 2019 General Assembly Session, the General Assembly set aside nearly $450 million for a Taxpayer Relief Fund to give money back to hard-working families.
In order to qualify, returns must have been filed before July 1st, and the taxpayer can’t owe any back taxes to their local government, Virginia, the IRS, or any other state agency. For those who do, the money will go to settle those debts.
The checks are expected to be mailed through mid-October.
