UPDATE: A St. Albans couple is facing charges in connection with the death of an eight-month-old.

According to the criminal complaint, Chelbie Hudson, and her live-in boyfriend, William Bowen IV are facing child neglect charges in connection with the death of Hudson’s eight-month-old daughter, Lillyanna Aubri Hudson.

On June 23, 2018, Kanawha County Sheriffs’ Office responded to a 911 call from Buckeye Lane in the Whispering Oaks area of St. Albans.

First responders located baby Lilly unresponsive and barely breathing. The infant was transported to CAMC Women’s and Children’s Hospital where she died two days later.

Medical officials found bruising on the infant’s brain. Both Hudson and Bowen admit to being the only two people with access to Lilly during the time leading up to the 911 call.

We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.
