Dozens of indictments are returned from the May session of the Fayette County grand jury.  The list of suspects was released on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

Among the crimes that were reviewed by the panel were cases of murder and arson as well as home invasions and child abuse.

A trio of men who were wanted in a violent home invasion were among those indicted by the grand jury.  Bryan Allen, Jarrell Green and Michael Hodge, Jr. are accused in a crime that happened at the end of August 2017.  They are all facing a laundry list of charges, including attempted murder, wanton endangerment and assault.

The incident happened on Gatewood Road when the men, along with an underage girl, allegedly broke into a home.  The owner was able to fight back and shoot one of the suspects.

Allen and Hodge are also accused in an attack on an inmate at the Southern Regional Jail that happened in February 2018.

Jimmy McCune was indicted on a first degree arson charge.  He is accused of setting his father’s porch on fire.  That happened at the MountainAir Mobile Home Park in November 2017.

There are two people facing charges of child abuse causing serious bodily injury, Miranda Lilly and Jesse Springstead.  The charges stem from an incident in March 2018 when a two-year-old child was brought to the hospital with a head injury.  Fayette County Deputies said the couple was also using meth when the child was with them.

Brian Willis was indicted on an attempted murder charge from an incident on River Road in Ansted in November 2017.  He is accused of shooting Rodney Rose.  The victim was able to drive himself to a Shell station where he called for help.

There was also a large number of drug charges that went before the grand jury. In fact, more than 50-percent of the crimes were directly drug related.
