Book sale raises money for children

If you Are searching for a good book to read, a local book sale may have just what you are looking for. 

The Southern Appalachian Labor School in Oak Hill is hosting a monthly book sale the first Saturday of every month. You can find them open from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. According to volunteer, Jan Young, they use all proceeds from the book sales to support the Children’s Literacy Project. 

“Were selling them cheap unless we get something really unusual in, but for the most part, were selling them for a dollar for hard bound and fifty cents for paper backs and some things we give away,” Young said.

The Southern Appalachian Labor School collects book donations at all times.
