Caretaker accused of fraud in Ansted

A case of elder abuse is under investigation by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.  Susan Bunny Harrah, 64, was arrested for taking advantage of one her clients. 

The victim, who lives in Ansted, told deputies one of her credit cards was stolen and it was used nine times since she discovered it was missing.  Harrah was the victim’s medical caretaker.

Harrah was captured on surveillance video using the card at various locations.  She is charged with 11 counts of Fraudulent Use of an Access Device, 11 counts of Computer Fraud and 11 counts of Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person.  She is also charged with Petit Larceny.

Harrah was arraigned in front of a Fayette County Magistrate.  She was released on a $10,000 bond.  The case is still under investigation by Deputy R. M. Fox.
