Bridge Day is only 39 days away and the Chili Cook-Off is a big part of the celebration.
On Saturday, October 20, the 10th Annual bridge Day Chili Cook-Off is taking place.
It is all going down in Historic Downtown Fayetteville in Courthouse Square. People will enter their chili into a contest from mild to wild. The chili tasting lasts from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and music will go from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Bridge Day Chair, Sharon Cruikshank, said this is definitely a good way to end the day.
“You are always ready at the end of the day to relax, listen to some good music, have some good food and so the chili cook off is just a good way to do a little sampling before you head on to some of the restaurants. You might be going to the Bridge Jam Concert, there’s a lot of things to do so this will just kind of energize people for the rest of the evening,” Cruikshank said.
