Deputies: Man arrested for stealing a check, multiple other items

A man is behind bars for stealing a check and several other items from a home in Fayette County.

According to court documents, over a period of time, Joshua Hammond stole and wrote a check for $500. Hammond also stole several guns, jewelry, and collectors coins.

Hammond is charged with petit larceny, one count of identity theft, and 2 counts of forgery or uttering. He is also being investigated by law enforcememnt in Raleigh County for other crimes.
