DEEPWATER, W. Va. (WVNS) — Fayette County Deputies have arrested a man who was wanted out of Kanawha County.

Deputies said on Sunday, they responded to a home in the Deepwater area for a possible wanted person. The caller told dispatchers a man was at her home, refusing to leave and was possibly armed with a knife.  She added he would most likely run if law enforcement showed up. When deputies arrived, they found the man on the front porch smoking a cigarette.  He then ran into the home and locked himself inside.

Deputies made their way into the home and found the man hiding in a child’s room.

James Clifford Rogers, 37 of Belle, was arrested on the pending Kanawha County Capias for absconding from their home confinement program. Rogers was on home confinement due to an armed robbery arrest.  He is also now facing charges in Fayette County for fleeing a law enforcement officer as well as obstructing a law enforcement officer.  Rogers was transported to the Southern Regional Jail.
