FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va (WVNS) — On November 28, 2017, Fayette County Memorial Lodge 118 of the Fraternal Order of Police started accepting applications for this year’s Shop-With-A-Cop event. Going on for more than two decades, at least 30 Fayette County law enforcement officers have helped 100 underprivileged children have a Merry Christmas. Oak Hill police chief Mike Whisman believes this is a good way for kids to meet the men and women who keep them safe.
“It’s a good time for the kids to interact with law enforcement,” Whisman said.
All donations go directly towards the children chosen for the event, in which you can help by calling (304) 640-8795 or visit any Fayette County law enforcement office.
