Job fair helps students find opportunities post-graduation

Fayette County schools put together its first ever county-wide job fair. 

The job fair went on throughout Thursday, February 7, at the Lewis Christian Community Center in Oak Hill. Juniors and seniors attending schools in Fayette County, had the opportunity to explore different career opportunities. 

A variety of employees from local businesses, colleges, and service jobs were there to speak to students. Senior at Oak Hill High School, Shytail Clay, told 59 News there are options for everyone.

“I feel like this is a great opportunity for everyone that is not going to college to explore what other opportunities that is out there for them,” Clay said.

Fayette County educators said they will host another big job fair next year.
