Man arrested for harassing 911 dispatchers

MT. HOPE, WV (WVNS)—A Fayette County man has been arrested for harassing 911 dispatchers Friday night in Mt. Hope.

Deandre Miller faces six counts of falsely reporting an emergency incident, telephone harassment and public intoxication.

On July 27, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to an apartment in Mt. Hope after dispatchers said Miller called them six times over a one hour period and said sexually inappropriate things to them.

According to court documents, Miller also said he was having problems with his phone and demanded 911 fix his phone.

Court documents state Miller is also accused of having 0.179 blood alcohol content.

He remains in the Southern Regional Jail on $7,500 bond.
