Plateau Medical Center broke ground on Monday April 23, 2018 for their surgery hospital expansion project.
The project is called “Building for the Future”, and it paves the way for Plateau Medical Center to increase the number of patient rooms that are available. This multi-million dollar construction project will also double the number of operating rooms, and expand emergency room and waiting areas. The center will also work to improve the outside of the building including parking lot improvements and landscape projects.
Plateau Medical Center CEO Chris Howe said none of this project would be possible without the community.
“I’ve only been here a short amount of time but it’s clear that the community really stand behind this hospital and I think we’ve seen it today,” Howe said.
The project is set to end in 2019.
