OAK HILL, W. Va. (WVNS) — A new park is coming to the city of Oak Hill.
The West Virginia Land Trust has partnered with the city to buy a 283-acre tract of land packed with natural rock features for climbing and sight seeing.
This will include a wall nearly 2 miles long, that will soon become the Oak Hill Needleseye Boulder Park.
City manager William Hannabas said there will be something for everyone.
“Whether you climb or not – if you’re a climber you’re going to have a great time rock climbing; if you like to get out in the woods and walk around and enjoy nature, you’re going to have a great time as well,” Hannabas said.
The park will open sometime in 2018, but a specific date has not been released.
