Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate. The 13th Annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival was a huge hit for people living near and far.
It only comes around once a year, and it is an event many people crave. According to attendees, tickets sold out within the first ten minutes of the fesitval opening. People like Peter Buehlman said he is glad he bought his tickets in advance. He also came all the way from Virginia Beach to visit a good friend of his, and, of course, to try some amazing chocolate.
“It is a great festival,” Buehlmann said. “There is a lot of chocolate to go around and the variety is fantastic.”
Not only is this event great for festival goers, but local businesses as well. Owners of West Viginia Fine Artisans, Trish Tuckwiller and Jeff Davis, have been participating in the event since 2017. This year they had quite the line come in for their chocolate covered bananas and cream puffs.
“It is a fabulous opportunity for us to meet people in the community, as well as people that come in from out of state,” Tuckwiller said. “It is an opportunity for our business to grow. People become more aware of what we do and what we sell.”
The festival went from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
