QUINWOOD, WV. (WVNS)– A Greenbrier County man is in jail, charged with malicious wounding, after he reportedly attacked a man and woman with a metal club.

According to court documents, on August 3, officers responded to a home in Quinwood where the homeowners said Shane Sloan showed up at the home wanting to talk to a man who was also in the home.

Witnesses said after Sloan found a man and a woman in the bedroom, he grabbed a metal club and began beating them. Sloan then ran from the home before authorities arrived.

According to the officer, the man had several wounds to his head and had a hard time speaking and focusing. Both the man and woman were transported to Raleigh General Hospital.

Officers could not find Sloan that night, but he was later arrested on August 6. He faces malicious wounding and battery charges. He remains in the Souther Regional Jail on $15,000 bond.
