LEWISBURG,W. Va. (WVNS) — When Air Force One lands at the Greenbrier Valley Airport, like it did Thursday, April 5th, 2018, crews are prepared.
All of the equipment used for the preparations comes from Government excess property.
Airport Manager Stephen Snyder, said, he is very proud to be able to use their own equipment for presidential operations.
“When Air Force One shows up here on our ramp, we don’t have the federal government pre-positioning hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment on a recurring cost,” said Snyder.
The steps President Trump walked down Thursday were refurbished and repainted, and are always ready to go when politicians fly into town.
