Alderson Quilt Guild showcases colorful display for National Quilter’s Month

Greenbrier County

Passersby near the Greenbrier Valley Visitor’s Center may notice a much more colorful display through its window.

For all of March, the Alderson Quilt Guild is having its annual show of more than 30 masterpieces to promote National Quilter’s Month. Each one is either on sale or just for show, but President Cindy Martin said it appeals to not just locals throughout West Virginia.

“Utah, Colorado, New York, Virginia, Florida… some, even overseas countries,” Martin explained.

One of the quilts, which is king-sized, will be raffled off, with the funds of each ticket going towards the Alderson Community Center. The winner will be announced at the end of the year.
