FORT SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) — A man from Detroit, Michigan was arrested and is now facing drug charges out of Greenbrier County.
Greenbrier County Sheriff Bruce Sloan said the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, along with members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, arrested 28-year-old D’Andre Lee Mathis in Fort Springs on Monday, September 10, 2018.
Sloan said Mathis was indicted by the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force in January of 2018 through the Southern District of West Virginia Federal Court and had an outstanding federal warrant for multiple counts of Distribution of Oxymorphone.
Sloan said they found Mathis on Monday with a large amount of Oxymorphone, money and a stolen handgun. He is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a schedule II controlled narcotic substance.
Mathis is in jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
