One Greenbrier County school is helping out its local Humane Society with some generous donations.
Last week, Greenbrier East High School’s GoGlobal-Interact club donated dog and cat food, litter, newspapers, and other necessities last week to the Greenbrier Humane Society. This week, the student-run club also made a financial donation of $310 to the society, thanks to a school-wide bake sale.
With the help of some teachers, Club Vice President Eliana Stewart said they want to accomplish their goals of service for the greater community.
“We do service projects all around the area, just like this. We volunteer at the shelter. We do a lot of donations and a lot of fundraisers,” Stewart.
The club said they will continue to work with the humane society.
