Greater Greenbrier Long-Term Recovery Committee receives $21K grant

Greenbrier County

This month, the Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation presented a check worth $21,900 and change to the Greater Greenbrier Long-Term Recovery Committee.

Committee Development Director, Kayla M. McCoy, said it will be used to support ongoing disaster recovery efforts throughout the area.

“We are 100-percent funded by grants and donations. We receive zero funding from the state or federal government for disaster recovery,” McCoy said. “Without our partnerships of organizations like the community foundation, it would be impossible for us to fulfill our mission, so we’re extremely grateful for their continued support.”

The committee will be voting on where to specifically allocate the money no later than its next meeting in April.
