The City of White Sulphur Springs is teaming up with Emmanuel United Methodist Church to address the opioid crisis. Coming up on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 they will host a seminar to help the community find ways to respond to the threat of opioids.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The keynote speaker is Dr. Barry Ball, who was with the Drug Enforcement Administration in Maryland where he worked on large drug cases. During that time he learned about the plight of drug endangered children.
The event takes place at Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Organizers said this will give those who have loved ones who are addicted an insight into how addiction develops and ways to recognize and deal with it.
